Xiaomi Philippines partners with World Vision in Brigada Eskwela 2025, launching a tech-enhanced "Xiaomi-Powered Room" in a Malabon public school to elevate student learning through AIoT innovation.
Xiaomi Philippines, in continued collaboration with World Vision, proudly joined Brigada Eskwela 2025 to support a public school in Malabon with an innovative educational initiative. Reinforcing the Department of Education’s nationwide annual campaign to repair and prepare schools before the academic year begins, Xiaomi has gone beyond traditional volunteer work by unveiling a fully upgraded “Xiaomi-Powered Room” equipped with cutting-edge smart AIoT devices.
Xiaomi first joined Brigada Eskwela in 2024, and this year marks an even more impactful presence. The 2025 campaign was highlighted by the transformation of a traditional classroom into a smart learning environment through the integration of advanced Xiaomi devices. These include smart TVs, smart fans, air purifiers, smart cameras, Wi-Fi mesh systems, a smart projector, and a smart vacuum cleaner—all aimed at creating a more comfortable, connected, and engaging space for students and teachers alike.
The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of Xiaomi employees, World Vision representatives, and local faculty members. Volunteers collaborated in a true display of bayanihan spirit, working together on classroom repainting, deep cleaning, and general improvements across the school premises. The day's activities concluded with the much-anticipated unveiling of the refurbished "Xiaomi-Powered Room," marking a significant step in modernizing the school's learning facilities.
School head Nenita Rivera welcomed the initiative with heartfelt gratitude, recognizing the deep impact of such support. “It always needs a village to educate a child the school alone cannot do that. We are so grateful to have partners like World Vision and Xiaomi. This help and assistance will be very beneficial for our teachers and students,” Rivera shared during the event.
Xiaomi volunteers also provided the school with Xiaomi backpacks filled with essential supplies, giving students a strong start to the school year. Notably, several Xiaomi expats joined their Filipino colleagues in the volunteer effort, underscoring the global commitment of the company to community empowerment and education.
Tomi Adrias, Head of Marketing at Xiaomi Philippines, emphasized the brand’s mission to democratize access to technology. “On behalf of all of us at Xiaomi, we’re honored to support Brigada Eskwela once again. Our goal is to create better learning environments where technology helps students dream bigger and reach further. This project reflects our continued dedication to making a difference in Filipino communities,” Adrias said.
World Vision Program Manager Alma Acub echoed the sentiment, noting the importance of collaboration in addressing the challenges of the education sector. “We cannot do this alone. Xiaomi’s support helps bridge the gap and improve learning experiences for our students,” Acub stated.
Xiaomi’s sustained involvement in Brigada Eskwela underscores its strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, community development, and the transformative power of technology in education. With initiatives like the “Xiaomi-Powered Room,” the brand continues to pave the way for a brighter future for Filipino learners one smart classroom at a time.
