In partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Province of Ilocos Norte, DITO joins the country's largest grassroots sporting event for the second consecutive year. This annual celebration runs from May 24 to June 2, bringing together over 15,800 student-athletes from 19 regions to compete in 29 sports disciplines, including dynamic new events like Pencak Silat and Weightlifting.
More than just a competition, Palarong Pambansa is a powerful symbol of national pride, family, and cultural diversity. With the 2025 theme “NAGKAKAISANG KAPULUAN,” the event highlights the unity of the Filipino people despite their diverse origins. This message strongly aligns with DITO’s mission to connect every Filipino, whether in urban centers, rural barangays, or remote islands, through advanced, reliable communication technology that builds opportunity and fosters community.
Atty. Adel Tamano, DITO Telecommunity’s Chief Revenue Officer, emphasized the telco’s dedication to uplifting young Filipinos through initiatives that go beyond digital infrastructure. “We at DITO believe in the incredible potential of the Filipino youth. Palarong Pambansa 2025 is inspired by the enduring legacy of Ilocos Norte native Teófilo Yldefonso, the Philippines' first Olympic medalist and a beacon of perseverance. The 65th edition of the games honors stories of hard work, hope, and heritage, with DITO actively participating by enhancing connectivity in key event venues and ensuring milestones are shared nationwide.

In full support of this landmark event, DITO will take part in the grand Opening Ceremony on May 24 at the Ferdinand E. Marcos Stadium, alongside President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz, DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, and thousands of athletes, coaches, trainers, officials, and families. The day promises to be a celebration of talent, resilience, and national spirit.
