OPPO launches the photography-focused Find X8 Ultra in China, featuring a 1-inch Sony sensor, Hasselblad camera tuning, Snapdragon 8 Elite, and satellite support. Here’s the full breakdown.
The OPPO Find X8 Ultra is now official in China, introducing a new standard for photography-focused smartphones in 2025. With high-end camera hardware, the latest Qualcomm chipset, and advanced display tech, OPPO is clearly aiming to compete with the best in the flagship market.

The Find X8 Ultra stands out with a camera system co-engineered with Hasselblad, featuring four 50MP rear cameras, including a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor for the main lens. It’s built to deliver next-level image quality, even in challenging lighting conditions. The setup also includes two periscope telephoto lenses for 3x and 6x optical zoom, and a 120-degree ultra-wide camera, giving users creative flexibility for both close-ups and landscapes. On the front, you get a 32MP selfie camera, supported by OPPO’s new LUMO Imaging System, promising better dynamic range and detail.
The phone features a large 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a sharp QHD+ resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels, and a smooth adaptive refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz. With 1600 nits peak brightness and OPPO’s Crystal Shield Glass, the screen is made for both vivid viewing and long-term durability. The display’s flat design with slightly rounded corners offers a premium feel, while the bold circular rear camera bump gives it a distinctive flagship look.
Performance-wise, the Find X8 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. This makes it a powerhouse for gaming, multitasking, and heavy photo or video editing. The device runs on ColorOS 15, built on Android 15, giving it access to the latest software features and long-term support.

To keep everything running, the Find X8 Ultra packs a massive 6100mAh battery, offering extended usage without compromise. Charging is ultra-fast, with support for 100W wired charging, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Whether you're working or creating content on the go, you won't need to stay plugged in for long.
OPPO includes advanced hardware additions like an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, dual stereo speakers, and a full suite of location services (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou). Connectivity is top-tier with 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, and multi-function NFC. The phone also features dual nano SIM support and is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance—one of the few phones with both certifications.

The Find X8 Ultra adds two new physical buttons to the mix: a customizable Shortcut Button and a Quick Camera Button for instantly opening the camera app, which is especially useful for spontaneous shots.

The top-tier variant of the Find X8 Ultra adds satellite communication support, a growing trend in premium smartphones aimed at emergency access and remote location messaging when cellular service is unavailable.
