Heads up, fashionistas! Filipino designers are about to take the Big Apple by storm. FILIPINXT, a brand new event celebrating Filipino fashion design, is making its debut at New York Fashion Week. Led by designer Bessie Besana and restaurateur Rob Mallari-D'Auria, FILIPINXT is all about giving Filipino creatives a shot at the big time in the world of fashion.

The show's happening on May 5th at the historic 4W43 Building in Manhattan. Get ready to see amazing collections from four top Filipino designers:
  • Bessie Besana: This designer's known for her flowy, dreamy pieces. At FILIPINXT, she'll be showing off her new collection, "Whispers of the Cosmos."
  • Veejay Floresca: This LA-based designer is all about modern menswear with a twist. Her collection is sure to turn heads.
  • Wilson Limon: Forget boring clothes! Wilson Limon's brand, NIñOFRANCO, uses traditional tapestries to create unique pieces that celebrate Filipino heritage.
  • Michael Leyva: A big name in Philippine fashion, Michael Leyva is bringing an all-white collection with stunning details and luxurious fabrics.

FILIPINXT isn't just about clothes, though. Marriott Hotel Manila is joining the party, showcasing their popular bridal event, "Marry Me at Marriott." But with a twist! In NYC, "Marry Me at Marriott" will be reborn as the "Gratus Philippine Gala," a fancy celebration of love stories and all of life's big moments.
FILIPINXT isn't just about fashion design, either. They're highlighting Filipino talent across the board. Yancy Trinidad, a Filipino producer, will be directing the show, and filmmaker Kenneth Anderson will be there to capture all the behind-the-scenes action.

“Our goal is to bring the ingenuity of Filipino talent and, hopefully, get them recognized by the mainstream market,” Bessie says. “We want to bring this to the New York Fashion Week scene.”
"It's Filipino designers' time to shine on the world stage," says Rob Mallari-D'Auria. "FILIPINXT is giving them the platform they deserve to show off their talent and compete with the best."
