Streaming can eat through your data, and bad signal can make for a choppy listening experience. By downloading tracks whenever you’re on Wi-Fi, your music library will be available whenever, wherever you are. This is especially useful when traveling abroad.

How To: In the mobile app, hit the slider next to the “Download” on a track, album, or playlist, and it will save to your phone. *Note: This is only available to Spotify Premium users.

2. IMPORT MUSIC

Add to the millions of tracks on Spotify by importing music from your current music library, collectible CDs, and old mixtapes.

How To: Open the Preferences in the Spotify desktop app and scroll down to the Local Files section.

3. SAVE YOUR DISCOVER WEEKLY PLAYLIST

The Discover Weekly playlist is among Spotify’s top features, delivering hours of new music recommendations every Monday. You have the option to save each playlist before it gets replaced by creating an archive.

How To: Open your Discover Weekly playlist; To download your most favorite playlist, simply slide to right the Download button that is located below the Shuffle Play option. These are the same steps you can follow to save your Release Radar playlists as well.

4. SHAZAM SHORTCUT

Shazam is a popular, widely-used app that identifies mystery songs. After searching for a song, you can now add it straight to a Spotify playlist.

How To: Tap the Menu icon at the top right of the screen and select “Add to Spotify playlist.”

5. RUN TO THE BEAT

Spotify Running does not only keep you company when doing that run before or after a long day at work.
