Congratulations MOA Arena, Happy Anniversary!
The country's premiere venue for events has just celebrated its first year. The 64,085 sqm five story iconic site opened its doors to the public last year 2012 with a two-day concert of Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball World Tour. What a great way to start and kick off the venue paving way to other world class preformers.
Lady Gaga was then followed by Nicki Minaj, JLO, Aerosmith, Cirque du Soleil, Swedish house Mafia, David Guetta, and Big Bang as well as popular local acts like the Foursome concert, Pinoy Pride, Regine Velasquez, Icons at the Arena, UAAP, NCAA and PBA.
Truly, there this no stopping this venue from getting the country's biggest sports and entertainment events. Staying true to its vision, "Changing the game and elevating entertainment." I have no words but simple anticipation and excitement on what Arena will be coming up next.
During the event, Ms. Nicole Mariz Deato - Marketing and Sponsorship Head of Arena was there joined by Mr. Arnel Gonzales who is the Business Unit Head of MOA Arena
During the presscon, I asked Ms. Deato about their corporate partners. If the rumors of any negotiation or the MOA Arena to do a co-branding with PLDT will push through. Ms. Deato said that there has been talks before but nothing is final. Arena has been getting the top events of the country and they are happy with the venue's performance. Maybe in the distant future. She added.
I also asked what's in it for the promoters who considers Arena as their venue for events. Ms. Deato said that having 47 malls nationwide and 250 digital cinemas has its advantage. They use these outlets to help and support the promoters through these venues. Oh and from what I remember, they dont have a fix rate on the arena. Instead, they get percentage of sales.
I also asked Mr. Gonzales on what is next for Arena? He said that they will continue to support and promote local talents and athletes. They also have some CSR planned for the year.
Truly, MOA Arena is changing the game and elevating entertainment. Wait till you see their list of upcoming shows. Oh, did you guys know that they will also be having a Disney event at the Arena? Yeah I know, it's affiliated with the other one, but man. Arena sure is a force to reckon with.
