Get the Gringo gives us a touch of the bad ass tough guy type of character we haven't seen from Gibson since 1999's Payback. Get the Gringo is the proper action-thriller and indeed one hell of a film. Stripped-down, gritty actioner reminiscent of the kind of dark, no-nonsense thrillers we saw back in the ’70s and ’80s.
Some say that this return of Mel Gibson is a hard-edge tough-nut with personality. A refreshing come-back from this wise-crack and gun-toting criminal.
