ALVIN and the Chipmunks 3: MOVIE REVIEW

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked
Chipwrecked! funny and yes, it is subtitled that way and squeaks for itself. Another installment of the Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise next to 'The Squakquel", Dave with Alvin and the Chipmunks go on a cruise with the cute trio female chipmunks called Chipettes. As well all know Alvin, nothing is safe and rules are broken and then the casts find themselves looking for each other in the middle of a deserted island.

So if you are gloomy with how things are, with all the issues and politics, or in my case sick of the movie that are playing in the cinemas, (MMFF) don't worry..here is what I have to offer. Alvin and the gang are back to put 'FUN'  in the  punishment. (FUNishment). They are all back for great fun and put a silly smile on that frown of yours. :)

Even when I was young, Alvin and the Chipmunks have humored some and adored us with the beautiful high pitched melodies. And I think that is what make the movie so un-Chipwreckable because of its strong appeal to the younger audiences and even the older ones. With great tunes and to surely keep you smiling silly and laughing throughout the movie. Don't worry if you fear that they would sing old tunes, No. They are up to date, there's Lady Gaga's Born this Way, Katy Perry's Firework and LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem to name some.

Casts? Well I didn't find out till the end credits but this movie did pack a lot of known celebrities in this 3rd Chipmunk installment. We have Justin Long for Alvin, Matthew Gray Gubler for Simon and Jesse McCartney for Theodore. They are joined by the female trio Chipettes called Britney voiced by Christina Applegate, Eleanor voiced by Amy Poehler and Jeanetter voiced by Anna Faris. Now how is that for a cast? Ofcourse there is Dave who is Alvin's manger played by Jason Lee and Alvin's former manager David Cross.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked
The story being chipwrecked in a island had a bit of Cast Away feel in it, finding another cast away called Zoe played by Jenny Slate. mix it up with an active volcano and rushing to evacuate the island makes up the whole movie.

I give the movie 3.5 of of 5.
Although there are some inconsistencies, the movie makes up for it pure fun and lesson in the end. Chipwrecked is a nice clean family fun that children will definitely love. :)

Check out the oh so funny trailer below. :)
