MUANG THAI - My Thai food fix

For months now i catch myself craving for Thai food every time i need comfort or every time i celebrate dinner/lunch date with family and my half. It's just recently that I've found my likeness in Thai food and since last year I've been in search of a good Pad Thai.
I've tasted some abroad, and tried the Makansutra Asian Food Village(called then, it is now called Makan Makan Asian Food Village, i guess something happened with the rights and licenses) It is located at Manila Ocean Park in Quirino. But my easiest getaway of Thai food fix is My Thai Kitchen which is conveniently found on some areas. But to my latest Thai food discovery, the MUANG THAI Authentic Thai Cuisine Restaurant.
The place wasn't hard to find given the right directions. We Arrived there past 1pm. Parking was bit hard coz their provided parking spaces can accommodate around 4-6 spaces and 3 double parking. Luckily we found a space.

The interiors were warm, the temperature was just right and the place was spacious... I estimated that it can fit around 50-75 maybe.

And now the food.. Here's what Nix and I ordered.

Crispy Catfish Salad P 220.00 plus 12% VAT

Really really good! combining it with strips of green mango and crushed peanuts. Get this and order the Bagoong Rice for best explosion in your mouth.

Pad Thai Shrimp P 200.00 plus 12% VAT
My Favorite! the waitress said that the one that we ordered is the one for sharing. We were like.. really? can you imagine having a single order of that? It was a bit saucier than i was used to.. but it was good... it was good.

Chicken Satay! P 220.00 plus 12% VAT
Surprisingly good. It was tender, the curry dip was indescribable, best Chicken Satay I've had so far.

Bagoong Rice P 190.00 plus 12% VAT
It may look pale and no flavor at all, but you'd be surprised combining this with Chicken Satay, Pad Thai and Crispy Cat fish. Believe me, you'd want to try this one. The brown on on top is some kind of a pork that is sweet. great balance for the Bagoong Rice, Green Mango and Egg.
Here's what Sarah and Paul ordered.

Spring Rolls P 140.00 plus 12% VAT
Beef Rice Toppings  P 135.00 plus 12% VAT             Beef Rice Toppings  P 135.00 plus 12% VAT

Over-all the experience was good. The service, theme and ambiance adds points for the whole experience, the price was average but the serving was a little lower than expected.

Muang Thai Authentic Thai Cuisine is open for lunch from 11am to 3pm and dinner from 5pm to 10pm, Monday to Sunday.  As tipped by their waitress because i ask... Muang Thai has been around for 15 years.. imagine that.. My ninja googling skills failed me in searching for this fact. Anybody out there who can fill me in, please feel free to do so. :)
