The HONOR Magic V Flip 2 is set to launch on August 21 in China with a massive 200MP camera, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a larger cover screen, and a special Jimmy Choo edition. Here’s everything we know.
HONOR is making waves again in the foldable phone scene with the upcoming launch of the Magic V Flip 2, the brand’s latest clamshell-style foldable device. After the success of its first flip phone, HONOR is now set to unveil its highly anticipated successor on August 21 in China. The company has already teased the design, color options, and even a designer collaboration that will make this release extra special.
Based on recent leaks, the HONOR Magic V Flip 2 will feature a 6.82-inch internal flexible LTPO AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. On the outside, users will get an even more functional 4-inch Full HD+ LTPO cover screen, perfect for quick interactions, notifications, and even selfies without opening the device. Both displays will offer the same high refresh rate for a fluid experience inside and out.
On the camera setup, HONOR is going big literally with a powerful 200MP main rear camera for ultra-detailed shots, paired with a 50MP ultrawide sensor for capturing more in every frame. Selfie lovers won’t be left out, as the phone is tipped to feature a sharp 50MP front camera for crystal-clear portraits and video calls.
Under the hood, the Magic V Flip 2 will run on Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, ensuring top-tier performance for multitasking, gaming, and content creation. It will pack a hefty 5,500mAh battery, with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support, so users can power up quickly and stay connected longer. Despite all these features, the phone will remain sleek, measuring just 6.9mm when closed and 15.5mm when opened, and weighing 204g.
Style-wise, HONOR is giving users plenty of options. The Magic V Flip 2 will be available in four colors: silver, purple, white, and a special blue edition designed in collaboration with the world-renowned fashion designer Prof. Jimmy Choo. This designer variant is expected to bring a more premium, fashion-forward appeal to the already stylish device.
Pre-orders are already open in China via HONOR’s official website, with global availability details expected to follow soon. With its larger cover screen, high-resolution cameras, and luxury designer touch, the HONOR Magic V Flip 2 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting foldable releases of 2025.
Hoping that this will also be available in the Philippines. What do you think?
