Grey Goose Gastronomique

It was a night where different senses took flight, the Grey Goose Gastronomique launch was one of the happenings in Manila this month where prominent people from different industries graced the event to experience and indulge themselves with amazing menu and cocktails by Grey Goose.
The Grey Goose Gastronomique event was held at the Blackbird in Makati. Guests were treated to an amazing menu prepared by Manila's celebrated Chef Colin Mackay. A partnership of a mixologist and master Chef, the idea was to create an extraordinary dining experience with pairing of premium spirits. I tell you, it was an amazing night. Even the Canapes which included home-cured gravadlax, Spicy Mulwarra beef tartare to name a few, but I personally liked the Tiger prawn tempura with jalapeno and caper aioli. I think I had four of these. Ofcouse cocktails were served and I got to try all four of them. Citronique, Cucumber Fizz, Cosmopolitan and Dry Martini. No, I am not an alcoholic.
The dinner menu prepared was really something to look forward to. It included Ahi poke with crispy rice; Hot smoked ocean trout salad, pickled beetroot, green apple and wasabi horseradish cream; Crispy crab and salt cod cake, pear and celeriac remoulade, tarragon anchovy aioli.

The highlight was the main course which is the Butter and bacon roasted lobster, creamy porcini and truffle oil polenta paired with chilled GREY GOOSE VX. Yum!!!
As for the dessert, they served us Earl grey and orange flower crème fraiche, strawberry sorbet, citrus crumbs; Petit fours and after dinner Vittoria coffee with Lavender shortbread.
It was definitely one of the best dinners I've had in a while. The whole evening was a treat to the senses. Sight, sounds, taste, smell and the feeling that you get with all of those combined. The night was extra special because it was also the launch of GREY GOOSE VX entry into the Philippine market. This one right here is masterfully crafted with a hint of precious cognac. Inspired by the heritage of Grey Goose creator and Maitre de Chai François Thibault, The look and the taste is so exquisite that is sets a new standard in luxury spirits.
GREY GOOSE VX is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks in a fine snifter glass complimented by a choice of either black olives or white grapes to appreciate its rich character and complex nose, with hints of white fruit blossom, plum, apricot, light citrus and wild honey, followed by a long, lingering finish. It is truly unique and luxurious -- a celebration of French craftsmanship.
That night, Grey Goose also recognized outstanding individuals as how the Grey Goose VX stands for excellence. The awardees are considered Lovers of life, leaders in life who best exemplify the ideals that is GREY GOOSE. Honorees for the night included Raul Manzano - Editor-in-Chief, Metro Society Magazine; Marc Tagle – President & CEO of Bridgestone Philippines and Chairman & President of Aston Martin Manila; Lesley Tan – Director for Communications of Shangri-la at the Fort; Pepper Teehankee – leading Columnist & Contributor to top publications; Monchet Olives – Chief Brand Officer for Philippine Realty & Holding Corporation and Lifestyle Curator of Casa Mercedes bespoke fans.
