TikTok 101 with Local Creators
(L-R: Alex, Issey, Maine, Jiro, and TikTok Global Communications Director Belle Baldoza) The team that led the #themainevent workshop were all smiles after sharing their thoughts about TikTok.
Earlier in the day, local creators took the stage for an exclusive media workshop, showcasing their experience with the TikTok app. Present at the session were Jiro Morato (@jiroknows), Alex Louisse (@alexlouisse) and Issey (@miyaketakoyaki). The session saw creators showcasing their favorite TikTok tips and tricks.
Jiro shared different techniques on how to create a transition video. He said that he had to learn the app’s various features to create eye-catching TikTok videos.

Sharing his thoughts as a TikTok creator, Jiro said his journey on the platform has been a blessing to his career as a social media star. “I’m truly honored to be in the company of other talented creators featured at #themainevent. TikTok has been really instrumental in helping me get a bigger fan base online as it showcases my transition videos to a wider audience.”
Alex shared that she has been experimenting with TikTok’s AI-powered filters and stickers to create her visual stories.

Alex, meanwhile, explained how TikTok and its tools have helped her tap into her creativity. "TikTok has video creation and editing tools that are easy to use, which allow me to focus on the content that I want to create. It constantly rolls out challenges which give us a dose of creative inspiration for our videos."

Issey said that through TikTok she was able to grow her fanbase not just in the Philippines but in different parts of the world.

For Issey, TikTok is a great platform to share her talent. "TikTok has helped me reach out and encourage fellow dreamers to keep sharing their talent. This community has not only been very supportive of my projects and my videos, but it also inspires me to create better content."

TikTok, which has been hailed one of the most downloaded apps in 2018, has been home to millions of creators from different parts of the globe, including the Philippines.
