0

There's this new place in Ortigas that fills your Japanese comfort food curry craving. The place is called Eri Curry. It opened last July 2014 and has been giving us Filipinos flavorful dining experience through their special and unique tasting curry sauce! Yes... curry!

So what exactly is Japanese Curry? Well, it's considered to be the dish that you can find in every Japanese household. Curry is actually from India, then was introduced by the British in the 19th century. People from Japan reinvented it to fit their taste and then boom! Japanese Curry. :)

Eri Curry is actually a local home grown brand. I didn't know that it was until they mentioned that it was. You can't tell because of the simplicity of the restaurant's interiors is so Japanese!

Anyways, we attended a launch earlier and there, they officially launched the Eri Curry brand to the public and then we were escorted up to their restaurant. Place was just right and can sit around 40 inside and around 25 outside.

They made us try Maki which was good.

Anyways, on to the curry dish! I ordered the Katsu Curry and set the spice level into spicy. Eri Curry actually has 4 simple steps for you to enjoy the whole Curry experience.

Step 1: Choose Your Curry Plate
They have wide choices from Katsu Curry to Thin Sliced Beef, Crunchy Squid, Shrimp and Mushroom!
Step 2: Choose Your Rice Portion
Oh yes. We love rice and we can't get enough of them! Specially with that delicious curry sauce! Customers have choices from 200, 300 or 400 grams rice portion.
Step 3: Choose Your Spice Level
They have 3 levels of spiciness here. Just Right, Spice and Fiery.
Step 4: Add Toppings
Oh yes. You can add more toppings! Crispy Chicken, fried squid or thin sliced pork or vegetables like eggplant and asparagus and tomatoes.

Katsu Curry - P320.00
It was good. I think it was a little dry but was still good. The curry however was oh-so-good! It was a spicy tasty curry sauce! I could just mix that curry sauce to any food then I'm good. :)

This one is the order of one of my friends. This is also one of their best sellersm the thin sliced beef curry. Tender and tasty beef with the same curry goodness!
