Tate Taylor's "THE HELP" Movie

0
Based on one of the most talked about books in years and a #1 New York Times best-selling phenomenon, “The Help” s a provocative and inspiring look at what happens when a southern town’s unspoken code of rules is shattered by three courageous women who strike up an unlikely friendship.
Emma Stone as Skeeter
It stars Emma Stone (“Easy A”) as Skeeter, Academy Award®–nominated Viola Davis “(Doubt”) as Aibileen and Octavia Spencer as Minnie—three very different, extraordinary women in Mississippi during the 1960s, who build an unlikely friendship around a secret writing project that breaks societal rules and puts them all at risk. From their improbable alliance a remarkable sisterhood emerges, instilling all of them with the courage to transcend the lines that define them, and the realization that sometimes those lines are made to be crossed—even if it means bringing everyone in town face-to-face with the changing times.

One of the first trailers for one of the new movies from the new DreamWorks, the Spielberg/Snider one, is for their period drama The Help.  Written and directed by Tate Taylor, starring Emma Stone, Viola Davis, Jessica Chastain, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sissy Spacek, Octavia Spencer, Allison Janney, and many others, The Help is a "timeless and universal story about the ability to create change." Based on Kathryn Stockett's novel about three different, extraordinary women in Mississippi in the 1960s who start an unlikely friendship. Check out the first official trailer below. Trailer Review.
From watching it, i sense that there's a 'Blind Side' feel to it. It is a drama with a lot of content. About creating the ability of change and of some sort.I think that the movie deserves a recognition for how the story is executed. The cast is just right and Emma Stone did a good job in portraying her character as Skeeter. This movie needs a good audience and definitely needs good reviews that can make them feel good about the movie. It will make you cry and will definitely touch your heart. The film will certainly make an attempt at an Oscar push following its August 12 release.
